Winter '27 Release Notes

What's New in Winter '27: Tighter Purchasing Controls, Automated Returns, and More Flexible Inventory

Legendary Supply Chain's Winter '27 release adds new capabilities across purchasing, returns, warehouse, and finance, all built to give service and distribution companies more control and less manual work.

Purchase Order Finalized & Locked

Lock in your purchase orders once they're committed

Once a purchase order is finalized, it's easy for line items, quantities, or pricing to shift after the fact, leaving your team without a clean reference point when a receiving dispute or price variance comes up. Winter '27 introduces Purchase Order Finalized and Locked, which lets you lock a committed purchase order and its lines against further changes. The system stamps the exact date and time the order was finalized, giving you a reliable as-committed record any time you need to investigate a discrepancy, while receiving, invoice matching, and closing continue to work as normal.

Purchase Order Line Revalue

Correct costs after receipt without the manual cleanup

A new guided Revalue action lets you adjust a purchase order line's unit cost after the line has already been completed and received. Instead of manual journal entries, the system automatically routes the cost change to the right place: inventory value if the stock is still on hand, WIP billing if it's tied to a sales order that hasn't been recognized yet, or purchase price variance if it's already been consumed. Fewer manual corrections, more accurate margins.

Returns Financial Processing

Returns processing that closes itself out

Returns have always touched inventory, cost of goods sold, and the general ledger all at once, which usually meant manual reconciliation to make sure everything landed correctly. Winter '27's Returns Financial Processing automates that end to end. New actions clear inventory value and pending costs on customer returns, and clear vendor returns as stock comes back in, automatically generating the matching inventory movements and offsetting financial entries. Every return now rolls up a running financial balance so you can see at a glance whether it's fully reconciled or still open, and an audit sign-off checkbox gives your team a clear record of who verified it.

Units of Measure & Material Conversion Quantities

Handle inventory in the units your business actually uses

If you've ever needed to track the same material as both a case and an each, or a pallet and a unit, Winter '27 makes that native. Units of Measure and Material Conversion lets you define base-to-conversion relationships on your materials (a case of 12, a box of 6) and see on-hand quantities alongside how many of the smaller unit they represent.
Resources:

Convert Inventory Between Material Unit Types

Convert stock between units without losing value

Convert Inventory Between Material Unit Types gives you a guided way to actually convert stock from one unit to another, carrying the original cost across so total inventory value never changes. You can convert an entire record at once or split off just the quantity you need, and the system will walk multiple unit levels in a single step without creating extra inventory records to track.

Prevent the Same Inventory on Open Stock Transfers

Fewer warehouse discrepancies from double-pulled stock

A single piece of inventory sitting on two open stock transfers at the same time is a fast path to a discrepancy. Winter '27 closes that gap: an inventory record can now only be on one open or in-progress stock transfer at a time, so the same stock can't accidentally get pulled twice.

Semi-Annual, Bi-Monthly & Bi-Weekly Agreement Terms

More flexible billing for customer and vendor agreements

Not every agreement bills monthly or annually. Winter '27 adds semi-annual, bi-monthly, and bi-weekly billing intervals for customer and vendor agreements, with term counts, proration, and financial projections calculated automatically for each new interval, giving you more ways to match agreement terms to how your customers and vendors actually do business.

Configurable Multi-Object Timeline

A connected view of everything happening on a record

Winter '27 introduces a configurable multi-object timeline that merges activity from several related objects into one chronological view on a record page. Instead of clicking between related lists to piece together what happened and when, your team gets a single feed built from the search components you already use, so the full history of a record is visible at a glance.

Multi-Currency Requisition Logs, Receiving & Inventory Ledger Updates

Built for multi-currency operations

For companies operating across currencies, Winter '27 extends multi-currency support further into requisitions, receiving, and the inventory ledger, so currency conversion stays accurate as goods and costs move through the system.

What this means for you

Every feature in this release points at the same goal: less manual reconciliation, tighter financial controls, and more flexibility to run your business the way you actually operate. Winter '27 also includes a long list of smaller updates across purchasing, finance, and platform, from batch processing improvements to expanded reporting, all aimed at the same thing: a platform that gets out of your way.
